Role and Responsibilities:
Computer Science Teacher - Birmingham Area
As a Computer Science Teacher your primary focus will be on providing high-quality instruction in computer science, fostering a passion for technology, and preparing students for future success in this rapidly evolving field.
1.
Curriculum Development:
- Develop and deliver engaging and challenging Computer Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Stay informed about advancements in technology and update the curriculum to reflect industry trends.
2.
Classroom Management:
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages active participation and collaboration.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a conducive learning atmosphere.
3.
Instructional Delivery:
- Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to diverse learning styles.
4.
Assessment and Feedback:
- Design and administer assessments to evaluate students' progress and understanding.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to guide students' learning and development.
5.
Differentiated Instruction:
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs of students, including those with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Foster an environment that encourages critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
6.
Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the computer science curriculum.
- Participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.

Extra-Curricular Activities:

Administrative Tasks:

- Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures.
