Description
Job Summary
To drive and operate HGV vehicles safely for Augean at various sites and locations in and around the country.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactively support and embed a generative safety culture, contributing to the company safety system.
- General maintenance and operation of heavy goods vehicles, as per driving policy.
- Daily vehicle checks are carried out and recorded, with any defects reported and rectified.
- Collection and delivery of waste, offshore containers and bulk loads in order to service Augean ensuring vehicles are loaded and used correctly and in line with legislative requirements.
- Ensuring all vehicle paperwork is completed including vehicle logbooks, transfer notes and duty of care paperwork.
- Comply with driver's hours and working time legislation by ensuring Tachos and Driver Cards are submitted weekly for downloading.
- Carry out the required training to maintain Driver CPC and any further training required to ensure license is valid and in date.
- Undertaking specific tasks as per business requirements including driving for Marine Tank Cleaning.
- Maintaining continuous professional development
- Any other reasonable duties as and when required.
- Make sure that ADR is up to date.
- Working with Hazardous waste and making sure that the loads are secure and packaged in the correct containers for road transportation.
- Trucks and Trailers must always be kept clean and tidy.
- Tanker(s) and Trailer(s) to be left in a ready condition for the next Driver, i.e. All fittings and hoses present and safely stored away, Tanker refuelled, oil checked, and spare oil bottle left with oil in it.
Critical Qualifications
- HGV Class 1 License
- ADR
- CPC
- Valid HGV Medical
Critical Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Tanker experience (preferred)
- Must demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn and develop.

£32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
