Castle Grange is a 40 bedded residential care home for adults who have Dementia or Alzheimer's Disease.
We provide care and support for up to 30 permanent residents and we have 10 respite/emergency beds to enable carers to have a break and social workers to complete necessary assessments.
As a Handyperson, you will be required to:
Undertake such other duties and responsibilities of an equivalent nature, as may be determined by the post holder's supervisor from time to time, in consultation with the post holder.
The post holder's duties must always be carried out in compliance with the council's Equal Opportunities Policy and other policies designed to protect employees or service users from harassment.
Co-operate with management of the Service as far as is necessary to enable the responsibilities placed upon the service under the Health and Safety at Work Act to be performed, e.g.
It is the duty of the post holder not to act in a prejudicial or discriminatory manner toward service users or employees, including those who may be for example from minority ethnic communities, women, disabled or older people or people from differing sexual orientations.
Requirements for this job:
- You must hold a full and valid driving licence.
- Experience of home and outdoor maintenance.
- Knowledge of basic maintenance e.g. working with electrical appliances.
- Understanding of basic gardening.
