We have a growing children's home cluster in the West Midlands and are looking for a Head of Care who is ambitious, driven and wants to work for an organisation that is prepared to do things differently, to support its staff fully through training and support for you as well as the young people.
About the Role
In this role you be responsible for overseeing our West Midlands cluster of homes as well as the implementation of the new Therapeutic Stepping Stones Model of Care.
Our vision is to be the last residential home for any child and you will be instrumental in helping to ensure that this is met.
You will be the lead for therapeutic care delivery and will ensure that the young people are getting their therapeutic needs met via therapeutic parenting and excellent care.
Essential Job Requirements
- Proven 'Ofsted' Good / Outstanding inspection history
- Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people.
- A commitment to personal development and the acquisition of professional skills and further qualifications.
- 5 years' work experience working with Young People within a residential environment including at least 3 years at senior level.
- Experience of working with young people with emotional and behavioural issues and complex needs including challenging behaviour.
- NVQ or Diploma Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England).
- Proven success of development of staff teams and individuals.
