Recycling Operative


We are currently recruiting on behalf of a bespoke business who are on the lookout for a hard working Recycling Operative.

You will be taken under the wing of experts within the Metal Recycling industry offering support and training to ensure you have a successful, long-term career.


Benefits:


  • Permanent role
  • Overhead crane and FLT training provided on site

Pay Rate / Hours:

- £ £11.40 per hour

  • Monday to Friday
  • Days: 7am 5pm OR 6:30am 2:30pm / 2pm 11pm (rotating)

Overtime available when required:


  • Saturday: Time & Half
  • Sunday: Double Time

Main duties of the job:


  • Use of an overhead crane to move and separate metal waste
  • Sortation of raw materials in the yard to ensure copper, lead, rubber and various other materials are separated
  • Picking materials from a production belt to ensure the purest amounts of copper are passed through to production
  • Complete final quality checks to ensure ONLY the purest forms of copper are fed through to the granulator
  • Bagging up copper granules ready for despatch
  • Ensure the working area is kept clean and tidy as possible at all times

Skills Required:


  • Previous experience within a yard, scrap or recycling environment would be ideal but not essential
  • Own transport would be a benefit due to location
  • Resilient, proactive attitude towards work
  • Excellent eye for detail
  • Call Summer on between the hours of 8am 5pm Mon-Fri
