The Marketing Academy Foundation is partnering with Giff Gaff to deliver a new and exciting apprenticeship role.


The role you will be filling


You will be part of the Member Innovation Team, a team obsessed with making things better for the people with us, and those who haven't seen the light yet.

You will be working with two members of the team


Supporting our Senior Propositions Manager, you will be part of spotting opportunities and delivering against ideas to disrupt the industry and stand out, in a way that generates value (£££s) without compromising our ethical values.


Supporting our Pioneers Panel Lead, you will get to work with our panel of 10,000 giffgaff members, seeing how they really feel about different ideas, understanding how we may be meeting their expectation, understanding where we may need to do better and feeding that into the products and services we deliver.


Key responsibilities:

  • Competitor Reports digging into the mobile industry, in the UK and Globally, looking at what's on offer, what is inspiring, what could giffgaff do better. Become the 'go to' person on what's happening in the industry, and share that with the team.
  • Get to know our members and their problems the best ideas come from understanding the problems people have, and thinking of ways to improve things. Get to know our members, spending time understanding their problems via queries raised in help, searches on google, or posts on the community.
  • Build relationships directly with members help organise and attend focus groups. Support the team creating stimulus for folks to review. Become an advocate from their voice within the business.
  • Write engaging posts keeping Pioneers panel members engaged. From encouraging them to be involved in future studies, or sharing how their involvement has created a positive impact.
  • Join ideation sessions using your knowledge of the market and the needs of members to help shape ideas for products or experiences.
  • Collaborate with Product Teams, seek opportunities to share the voice of the member, or include members within development roadmaps and/or plans

Skills, experience and attitudes:


This is an entry level role, if you have the right attitude, we will help you to build your experience.

  • Curious someone who enjoys discovering new things be that new products, new trends, or new things about people.
  • An empathetic listener sometimes we may hear things that we don't want to hear. We need someone who can empathise with the views of others, listen humbly and be an advocate for others.
  • A pragmatic communicator 'you can't always get what you want' but it's good to try, so we are after someone who can balance being passionate about a point of view, as well as realistic with what may be possible. And to be able to inspire others.
  • Ethically minded we believe we can create change for the better, to benefit people and the planet, whilst at the same time turn a profit. It's possible but not easy. We are after someone who can help share that passion with us.
  • A great collaborator whether it's with our members, or with each other, being able to offer support, ask questions, be keen on the details, gather feedback, and make changes, is essential.
