Purpose of the Role:

To assist the International Casualty Broking Team with Technical and Administrative tasks


Key Role Accountabilities:


  • Preparing slips and endorsements
  • Uploading and downloading documentation onto the PPL signing system
  • Preparing invoice processing requests
  • Managing the renewals of facilities including drafting renewal slips, requesting claims and following up with brokers
  • Maintaining bound bordereaux for inhouse facilities
  • Communicating with the credit control team regarding payment queries
  • Providing ad hoc support to the producers/brokers within the International Casualty Team
  • Carrying out such projects and other duties and tasks as may from time to time be required

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Experience drafting slips and endorsements (essential)
  • 3+ years' experience of the London Insurance Market (essential)
  • 3+ years working on Casualty classes of business, including CGL (essential)
  • 5+ years' experience of the London Insurance Market (preferable)
  • 5+ years working on Casualty classes of business, with a particular focus on CGL (preferable)
  • Knowledge of the Regulatory requirements of Canadian business (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Wholesale business and how it is conducted (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft systems Word and Excel (essential)
  • Knowledge of various online systems
  • PPL, DCOM, Lineage (preferable)
  • Knowledge of the Global processing system (preferable)
  • Knowledge of Sanction Requirements (preferable)

Person Specification:


  • Strong organisation skills
  • Ability to show initiative
  • Ability to work as part as a team, but also the ability to selfmotivate when working alone
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines
  • Willingness to follow procedures in full and not to take short cuts, even when under time pressures
  • Confidence when dealing with external and internal communication
