We have fantastic opportunities for Out of Hours Call Handlers to work alongside our dedicated Operations Team handling alarm calls in a 24/7/365 Alarm Receiving Centre supporting a diverse and largely vulnerable customer base.

Resilience is crucial and you will need to be comfortable handling emotionally demanding calls to achieve positive outcomes for our customers.

You will need to be a quick learner when it comes to systems and be used to working to predefined processes that make sure all our customers are safe and well.

We offer a completely digital telecom-system, making it possible for all of our vulnerable and elderly clients to feel safe in the comfort of their home, as well as in the outside world.

With our excellent team of Emergency Call Handlers we maintain our own 24/7/365 Alarm Receiving Centre, along with our own Mobile Response Team.


We currently have Evening and Weekend shifts available with weekly hours of 15, 15.5, 17.5, 21 and 22.5 hours. Whether you prefer day, evening, or night work we are interested in speaking to you

You will need to commit to an initial 5 days training period (paid). Times TBC. This training will take place at our office in Blackburn.

What does a day in the life of our Out of Hours Call handlers look like?

  • Answer phone calls from customers in a timely and professional manner
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints
  • Log all customer interactions and update customer accounts as necessary
  • Follow company policies and procedures for handling customer calls
  • Escalate calls to the appropriate department or manager when necessary
  • Keep uptodate with changes in company policies, procedures, and products

What skills and experience are we looking for?

  • Comfortable working in a high contact volume environment
  • Confident, professional and caring with a patient manner on the telephone
  • Ideally experience of dealing with customers
  • Experience in using various systems to keep records updated and use of Microsoft Packages
  • Flexible and adaptable to change; comfortable dealing with new technology
  • The ability to multitask and follow procedures with an inquisitive nature
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrate previous experience in a care, customer service or call centre environment (Desirable)
