What to expect:


As Head of ED&I you will join us on our journey and undertake a truly critical role, responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the ED&I Strategy across the Post Office.


Reporting to the People Director - Talent & Capability, you will play a crucial role in supporting leadership teams and the wider business in driving and delivering an inclusive and equitable workplace ensuring diversity across all levels and promoting a sense of belonging for all colleagues.

You will be responsible for developing tools and processes to promote fair and inclusive practices throughout the post office and establishing targets and KPI's to measure success.

This role offers you a valuable opportunity to drive our ED&I strategy in line with key business objectives.

You will be a key advocate for ED&I, responsible for establishing and supporting colleague networks to provide a platform for colleagues to connect, share experiences and contribute to business ED&I goals and ensuring the appropriate levels of executive sponsorship.

What you'll need to succeed:

You will be an experienced leader with previous experience focused on ED&I, Diversity, or Inclusion. As Head of ED&I you will demonstrate ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels and abilities.


You will:

  • Have indepth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices in ED&I
  • Demonstrate relevant industry knowledge and networks to maximise external visibility and employer brand e.g., Business Disability Forum, Stonewall, Times top 50 etc.
  • Possess strong business acumen and firstclass communication skills
  • Be able to analyse information for datadriven decision making and produce relevant reporting.
  • Be a true advocate for EDI, with a colleague focus, to create an inclusive culture that enables all colleagues to be at their best.
  • Be passionate about personal development and working in an environment of continuous improvement.
