Who are we looking for? We are looking for an enthusiastic driver to join an existing team to carry out multi-drop deliveries and collections across England and Wales driving vehicles up to 26 tonnes (relevant licence required).

What will the role involve?

Supervising the loading of the vehicle(s);
Ensuring the goods loaded are correct against the customer order;
Ensuring you comply with Health & Safety requirements both on site and in the lorry;
Maintaining the cleanliness of the internal cab;
Provide excellent customer service;
Check off goods with customers and obtain a signature/print;
Maintain accurate PODs;
Carrying out multidrop deliveries in a timely manner;
Handle customer issues effectively, and ensuring any further concerns are raised to the Transport Supervisor or Planners;
Driving the vehicle safely in accordance with the law;
Drive within the Tachograph law and Driver hours limits;
Ensure accidents are kept to a minimum;
Complete daily inspection sheet/list and report any defects to the Transport Supervisor or Planners;
Report any accidents as soon as possible and in compliance with the accident reporting procedure;
Attend essential training in order to carry out the driving role;
Providing support in the yard as and when requested;
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures including Commercial Vehicle Handbook & Health & Safety Policy;

Role requirements / required experience:

LGV Class 2 licence minimum (essential);
Experience of multidrop deliveries (essential);
Moffett licence (desirable not essential as training can be given)
Knowledge of UK road network (desirable);
Basic understanding and knowledge of Driving Regulations & VOSA requirements (essential);
CPC (essential)
