Acorn by Synergie is seeking an Environmental Technician to join their well established client based in Pentwyn, Cardiff on a long term temporary basis.


Salary:
£9.50 - £9.69 per hour

Working: 38.75 hours per week

Days: 7:30am-16:30pm Monday to Thursday & 7:30am-12:15pm Friday

Environment:
Yard & Site


Role Objective:
To provide general good housekeeping. Maintain site environment. Segregate and recycling of all materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tasks to given instructions to achieve safe work process.
  • Good housekeeping of environmental area.
  • Segregation of all recyclable materials into correct areas.
  • Safe operation of the general and cardboard compactors.
  • Safe operation of the baling and polystyrene machines.
  • Safe operation of the Wood and pallet chipping machine.
  • Maintain smooth operations for the removal of selected production materials.
  • Maintenance of site premises.
  • Monitor and patrol internal and external perimeter.
  • Departmental patrol for office paper collections.
  • Service canteen environment for removal of bin waste.
  • Assist on miscellaneous job requests from various departments.
  • Good communication skills for the reporting of any safety concerns.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

  • Training will be provided on the job over a period of 3 months.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety and Environment standards.
