An exciting opportunity has arisen for someone to join our Mortgage Collection & Recoveries Team as a Mortgage, Collections & Recoveries Specialist, at our Bradford Head office site.

This role will see you perform as an SME for MC&R.

About the Role.
As an MC&R Specialist you will;

Have a full understanding of Mortgage, Collections and Recoveries policies and operating standards to aid with assessing cases and supporting the operation with more complex cases.
Work closely with the Mortgage Collections & Recoveries Operation as well as business partnering with other functions in particular Credit Risk, MI & Change Teams, Risk and Compliance and support the onboarding and management of thirdparty suppliers
Analyse and present information, tailoring this to differing audiences
Provide quality monitoring support across the Training and Competency Framework, Quality Assurance and Compliance Monitoring to determine if good outcomes are delivered
Conduct supplier audits & scorecard reviews
Work collaboratively with the Specialist Manager and Senior Manager on strategic objectives as well as the transformational change and process improvements.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will need to have;

Experience of Mortgage Arrears Management from prearrears to debt recovery
Experience of developing others via coaching and feedback
A demonstratable understanding of regulatory conduct requirements specific to the role, including vulnerable customers
Strong risk assessment & decisionmaking capability
Stakeholder relationship building & management skills
Ability to work under your own initiative to deliver objectives
Desire to work as a team, prioritise workloads and be flexible in supporting changing operational requirements
A growth mindset

Desirable

Good numeracy and data skills, including the ability to interpret MI
Ability to use MS packages, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
Experience of conducting quality oversight such as training & competency, quality assurance reviews or compliance monitoring
Design and delivery of process
Experience of complaint handling
