We look for people to join SJP to make an impact and to contribute to our culture which is based around long term relationships, doing the right thing, and being the best version of ourselves.

Location:
Cirencester Office

Workplace Type:
Hybrid

Employment Type:
Permanent

Seniority:
Director

This person will investigate, resolve and report on whistleblowing disclosures in line with St.

James's Place policy and regulatory expectations, ensuring that individuals who have concerns about illegal or improper behaviour at SJP can raise these concerns in the public interest without fear of victimisation, discrimination or disadvantage.

An effective and efficient whistleblowing process enables serious issues to be resolved internally, reducing the risk of client detriment and reputational damage.

It also enhances the SJP culture by giving employees, Partners and Partner Support Staff confidence that their concerns will be acted upon appropriately.

The role therefore has a significant impact across the whole SJP Group.

What you'll be doing:

Reporting directly to the Group Internal Audit Director, you will:

  • Maintain appropriate and effective arrangements for the receipt of whistleblowing disclosures and act as a key point of contact for such disclosures.
  • Ensure that whistleblowing disclosures are recorded, investigated appropriately and tracked effectively to conclusion, providing feedback to the whistleblower where feasible and appropriate.
  • Take appropriate measures to protect the identity of whistleblowers who have requested confidentiality.
  • Provide regular updates on whistleblowing cases to the Internal Audit Director to support reporting to the Board Audit Committee.
  • Maintain the Whistleblowing Policy Statement and raise awareness of whistleblowing procedures with employees, the Partnership and Partner Support Staff.

Who we're looking for:

  • Experience of leading investigations in relation to whistleblowing or other matters requiring similar investigative skills.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills, with the ability to identify how best to investigate and resolve a diverse range of whistleblowing cases.
  • Able to establish strong relationships across the SJP Group to enable effective investigation and resolution of whistleblowing disclosures in an appropriately confidential manner.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, putting whistleblowers at their ease, and the ability to impactfully articulate concerns and hold challenging conversations.
  • Possesses a strong understanding of the financial services regulatory environment in which SJP operates and the regulatory requirements relating to whistleblowing.

What's in it for you?

  • Private Medical up to family cover paid for by Company
- via BUPA. No excess for claims.

  • Meaningful protection benefits with real value, such as 10X life cover, PHI, and critical illness.
  • Non-Contributory Pension 10% (increasing with length of service up to 15%) with further pension matching.
  • Parental leave 6 months full pay
  • 28 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays (based on fulltime equivalent) with the option to buy up to an additional 5 days holiday
  • Not applicable to Fixed-Term Contracts (standard uplift applies in lieu of the protection benefits)

What's next?
Our team will be in touch.

As a business regulated by the FCA we would advise you to familiarise yourself with the conduct regulations and in particular consumer duty obligations prior to an interview with SJP.
