About the job

To assist with the day-to-day operations & Reservations within the Customer Service Department at AMI Manchester Office making reservations with Airlines and bookings for collection with haulier's.

Location
World Freight Terminal, Manchester Airport


Requirements:


Main accountabilities include:

  • Arranging collections with hauliers
  • Issuing collection notes.
  • Booking with Airlines and checking rates against the quote
  • Negotiating to get the best rate available at time of booking


  • Call Answering

  • Ensuring the telephones are answered in a timely and professional manner.
  • Checking departure of shipments
- post flights

  • Monitoring and maintenance of Booking, Customer Service and documents outlook mailboxes as and when required.
  • To provide admin support for key accounts
  • To assist the other Customer Service Agents & Management, as and when required.
  • Fully comply with the company security regulations.
  • Fully comply with the company health and safety policy.

You must carry out work in accordance with information and training provided and any specific workplace health and safety rules or procedures.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Excellent customer services skills ideally within an Export environment.
  • Excellent time management skills to ensure workloads are completed on a daily basis.
  • Good communication skills both written & verbal.
  • Good telephone manner with previous experience of high call volumes (approx. 60 per day).
  • Good operational and product knowledge desirable.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and within a team.
  • Must be proactive and forward thinking.
  • Level CO security certificate desirable (training will be provided).
