As a Compliance Manager, you will play a critical role in advancing this commitment.

As our Compliance Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with all teams within Ocado Logistics to understand their nuanced risk landscapes and drive improvements across the mission.
  • Partner with various Group divisions, such as Finance and Legal and Compliance, to optimise compliance programs across Ocado Logistics.
  • Support the development and implementation of business continuity programs, risk assessments, governance initiatives, policy evaluation, and activity mapping.
  • Deliver quality risk reports with practical, actionable, and valueadded recommendations.

Data Protection:


  • Be accountable for promoting data governance and data management to protect data from external and internal threats.
  • Leverage your excellent communication and influencing skills to build a network of robust Data Champions to fulfil our privacy commitments.
  • Work closely with the Group Data Protection Team to promote and rollout data privacy guidelines, procedures, and processes to ensure data quality practices and improvements.
  • Lead the data mapping process, audit processes, and report compliance issues back to the Ocado Group Data Protection Officer.
  • Promote and embed Privacy by Design across Ocado Logistics and be involved in Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs).
  • Act as the central point for any data breaches across the network and work with the Group Data Protection Team to ensure insights and learnings are acted upon.

Risk Management:


  • Support relevant operations to identify and manage risks across Ocado Logistics and maintain effective registers in multiple areas, including physical site security, risk registers, crisis management, and licensing audits.
  • Compliance and Support in Relation to External Audits:
  • Provide information and evidence within strict deadlines.
  • Implement recommendations and undertake regular controls testing.
  • Create project and improvement plans and track and evidence their success.

Liaising with Key Stakeholders:


  • Regularly report to the Logistics Senior Management Team to highlight areas of improvement, key risks, and ongoing projects.
  • Maintain regular communication with the Ocado Group Data Protection Team.

About you:


  • Previous experience in risk management and/or data privacy governance is desirable, but necessary training will be included.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Organised and methodical with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to influence effectively, including upwards, and build constructive working relationships.
  • Strong problemsolving and analytical capability.
  • Ability to take ownership of work, initiate and implement change.
  • Proven ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and make the best use of limited resources.
  • PC literate.
