Description

We are looking for Pipe Fitters to join this well established, best paying, cleanest company for a temp to perm contract which will be reviewed during the temp period.

You will be maintaining tasks such as:

Changing pumps.
Refurbishment of Boiler houses.
Installation of District heating mains.
Installation of new multi pipe work services to new offices and factories.
Installation and modifications of existing domestic services.
Replacement / Installation of sanitary ware.

Pipe fitting consists of 1" to 2" screwed mild steel & black malleable pipework.

Salary:

Salary is dependent on skill set and is up for discussion, ranging between £15.00 and £20.00 per hour.

Schedule:

Monday to Thursday: 07:30AM 17:00PM.
Friday: 07:30AM
Holiday's will be 20 days + 8 statutory Bank Holidays.

Requirements:

Full Clean UK Driving Licence.
Previous experience in a similar role for at least 3 years.
Ability to work on your own or as part of a team, having a 'can do' attitude and willing to help out on other tasks.
City and Guilds Level 2 (minimum) maximum of 5 years experience.

Must be able to achieve a MOD BPSS clearance
Experience

Need to have experience with working with the full range of materials including screwed pipework and fittings, copper tube with solder and press fit fittings, solvent weld plastics.

Responsibilities:

Perform all required tasks safely, accurately and consistently.
You will need to take responsibility for the work site and maintain safe execution of construction activities.
Participate and engage with tool box talks as required this is so that you are interactive between the deliverer and all recipients.
You will be responsible for stopping the job and asking for advice from the appropriate person if have any concerns with a task they are dealing with.
Responsible for dealing with any accidents to report immediately to the Line Manager.
Awareness of personal safety for you and others.
Able to understand relevant construction drawings.
A good technical knowledge of discipline.
If any changes made, report to Line Supervisor to have a safe reassessment.
Participate in company and local safety initiatives.
