Description
This is an exciting opportunity for someone to develop and lead our Sustainability agenda across the Trust.

This is a new role for the Trust to reflect the importance we place on this agenda.

It clearly signals our intent to take significant steps to decarbonising our organisation and reducing the impact of our activities on climate change.


We have already won awards for our progress in reducing our carbon emissions but our ambition doesn't stop there as we progress on our journey to net-zero.

This role will lead our activity across all aspects of Sustainability including shaping our new Green Plan and our roadmap to achieving net zero.


As a key member of the team you will provide senior leadership and technical advice across the organisation for the Sustainability agenda, working closely and developing key relationships with the Board, Executive and our clinical and non-clinical team leaders.

You will bring your experience and specialist expertise but also your passion and creativity.

You will need to be an excellent communicator and successful influencer to lead the thinking on this agenda and a wide range of delivery plans for a number of ambitious projects.


You must have a proven track record of progressive leadership, development and facilitating change in a culture of continuous service improvement.

Self-motivation is essential along with a passion, drive, adaptability and resilience to cope with change within the Trust and wider NHS.
