Spencer Clarke Group are working alongside a local authority based in
Hillingdon to appoint a talented
Right to Buy Valuation Surveyor on a contract basis.


As a
Right to Buy Valuation Surveyor , you will Lead on all valuation matters in relation to Right to Buy cases for HRA.

Assist in any other valuation matter required from the Estates Department.

**About the role: - No direct supervisory responsibility however the postholder will be required to assist in onboarding and new employee induction and system training for new and existing team members

  • Understand the needs of customers and responsible for conveying this to colleagues across the asset management portfolio ensuring staff adhere to the Council's customer care standards when undertaking work for internal or external customers.
  • Responsible for ensuring designated suppliers, contractors and staff undertake customer service activities in line with the Council's vision of 'putting residents first' and fulfil their obligations to receive, manage and respond to complaints.
  • Support the accurate, timely and appropriate response to Member enquiries, complaints and Freedom of Information requests within agreed timescales.
  • Promote and develop a positive image of the Council and of the Borough, through all dealings with customers and external agencies; eg at public meetings, through community initiatives and events and contact with staff and residents
  • Be accountable for and take the lead on all aspects of the Valuation Service for the Right to Buy Section of HRA
  • To provide professional expertise and assistance on other valuation matters as required
  • Maintain knowledge and responsible for updating of the team business and service planning.
  • The postholder will support our Asset Management agenda which will be the primary areas of work across the team as we strive to meet our changing community needs.
  • Support a strong performance culture and commitment to delivering quality services to key stakeholders.
  • Accountability and visible support for professional practice, service procedures and policies along with performance improvement initiatives.
  • Responsible for implementing change programmes, challenging and improving service delivery with a focus on sustaining a performance improvement culture that puts residents first
**About you: - RICS membership & Registered Valuer

  • Evidence of continued professional development
  • Management or business qualification or equivalent experience
  • Full, current UK driving licence and the use of a vehicle at all times
  • Ability to fully access sites in order to inspect land and buildings
  • Ability to travel out of Borough to evaluate potential contractors and consultants
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service which will include occasional attendance at evening meetings
  • Minimum 3 years' experience working in an Valuation role

  • Contract role
  • Monday to Friday
- £350 to £400 per day (DOE)
