The Talent Set are excited to be working with CARE International to find their new Senior Individual Giving Executive.

The organisation offers a lovely flexible working pattern, with a fully remote home-working pattern. Office work is available in London should you prefer a hybrid working pattern.

CARE International operates in more than 104 countries around the world. They run poverty-fighting programmes and deliver life-saving aid in 90 developing countries.

This work is supported by global policy and advocacy work, fundraising, and programme management provided by CARE members in countries like the USA and the UK.


Key responsibilities:

  • Line manage Individual Giving Executive across all channels. Hold regular 121s, setting objectives and identifying learning and development needs.
  • Project manage delivery of direct marketing campaigns as requested by the Individual Giving Manager, including preparing and agreeing campaign strategies and briefs;
  • Write and review copy for collateral used for engagement and conversion activities;
  • Take the lead on the annual and quarterly budgeting and reforecasting process, supporting the Individual Giving Manager;
  • Produce regular campaign reports that monitor performance (focusing on continuous improvement) and feed back to the Head of Individual Giving and during Team meetings;
  • Lead on the planning, implementation and evaluation of CIUK's public fundraising programme, working in close collaboration with the colleagues and external agencies;
  • Manage all key external relationships required to deliver the Individual Giving team's fundraising programme, particularly with external suppliers, in order to achieve value for money, high quality and agreed levels of service delivery;

Person Specification:

  • Significant experience of project management across a range of Direct Marketing channel
  • Experience of copy writing
  • Experience in researching content for marketing materials
  • Experience of writing creative briefs
  • Experience of working with agencies, collaborating with them to ensure best results. This should include managing creative, print and media agencies
  • Knowledge of direct marketing principles and current direct response marketing best practice
  • Planning and budgeting
  • Strong analytical skills, experiencing of monitoring, evaluating and analysing campaigns against KPIs
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, creativity, identify opportunities and to research and evaluate their viability to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of acquisition and retention.
  • Good knowledge of using social media to target, communicate and engage with supporters
  • Commitment to tackling discrimination and structural inequality
