This specialist community school is currently seeking a specialist teaching assistant to join their team on a permanent basis from April 2024.
The school offers an inclusive, safe and inviting environment where every child can achieve, succeed and break down any boundaries that they might have encountered in mainstream education.
Staff develop very strong working relationships with pupils. As a result, every learner feels understood and enjoys attending school.
This school benefits from a long standing senior leadership team with clear vision for the future in addition the school has been recently refurbished and now offers free flowing, bright and inviting learning environments classrooms, therapy and sensory rooms.
In this role you are supporting as a teaching assistant in classes of no more than 8 students, helping the class teacher in aspects of the day to day learning but also supporting SEN learners on a 1:1 and small group basis when needed.

Creative, friendly and resilient individual who is committed to supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
Teaching Assistant or Health and social care qualification (desirable not essential)
Experience working or volunteering with children or young adults (desirable)
Must have:
GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
Eligibility to work in the UK
Responsibilities:
Supporting young people with complex needs from age 5+ years in a education setting
Working and supporting children on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis
Supporting not just the educational but also the physical and spiritual well being of the pupils
