Job description

Able to speak to students in their voice? Great with social media and YouTube videos? Know which image will capture attention? We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Communications and Engagement Assistant to work with our small Communications team in Library Services.

You'll help us to engage students with how the library's facilities, IT, support and resources all help them to achieve more at our University.

You'll be involved in creating and scheduling content across our digital and printed platforms including social media, web pages and videos, demonstrating what's on offer and how it can help their academic success.

You'll also be working on our frontline service talking to students at our Welcome Points, engaging with them at events and welcoming prospective students at open days.

It takes a lot of great people to make our Library Services team - we have librarians, skills tutors, IT and systems advisers so you'll be part of a great community of people.

Working here means you'll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.

The postholder will be required to work one evening per week on our Library Welcome Desk and also occasional weekend and evening work to support the delivery of events.

Working here means you'll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more.
