Managerial responsibilities:

to include level of responsibility for: Support and agree IT system modifications in Theatres, Endoscopy, Theatre Scheduling for current and future modules.

Discuss, agree and effect implementation with supplier, end users and Divisional System Manager. Assist the Divisional Service Manager with the day to day running and enhancements for the Critical Care Directorate Systems. To be responsible for cover of the Critical Care Directorate systems in the absence of the Activity Service Manager.

Support and provide training programmes for the Critical Care Directorate systems.

Liaise with the Trust IM&T Department to ensure the production of complete and accurate information to support service management and planning functions.

Interpret clinical staff and Senior Managers requests and generate reports to assist them in their reporting requirements, specifying report formats and transferring data into Excel requiring advanced Excel knowledge and problem solving skills.

Ensure system security, arranging the creation and maintenance of users passwords and screen access.

Investigate and resolve incorrect use of the systems to prevent corruption of data.

Carry out general development, enhancements and upgrades, testing and validation of the Directorates systems, providing an effective service and advice to users.

Attend internal and external meetings and seminars relevant to the role to support on-going development of information within the directorate.

To be responsible for reporting details of patients cancelled on the day of surgery due to non-clinical reasons on a daily and weekly basis to the SITREPs collator and General Managers.

Maintain own professional development and attend relevant study sessions where required. Please see attached job description for more information.
