Key Role Responsibilities & Duties:


  • Assume responsibility for the quality of English &/or Maths instruction across the department.
  • Implement and adhere to the company's Maths & English strategy.
  • Swiftly identify and address areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Quality and Operations teams to ensure superior quality of the learning experience and achievement in English &/or Maths.
  • Uphold compliance with our Lead Provider's quality assurance and improvement measures for Maths and English.
  • Stay updated on relevant advancements in learning and teaching impacting programs and delivery.
  • Champion the introduction of innovative teaching methods and delivery modes.
  • Foster dialogue among teaching colleagues to share effective practices and elevate English &/or Maths delivery.
  • Provide support for vocational staff in English &/or Maths Delivery.
  • Identify system issues and propose practical solutions.
  • Act as a specialist in English &/or Maths, advocating its importance within our delivery.
  • Lead the campaign to enhance Lecturer's confidence and proficiency in delivering Functional Skills and GCSE.
  • Oversee the E-Learning Assessment program, conducting audit checks to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Manage the booking of all Functional Skills exams, ensuring smooth processes.
  • Ensure students requiring individual special exam arrangements receive proper support.
  • Compile and distribute English & Maths results to staff and managers.
  • Provide requested English & Maths exam data to managers.
  • Conduct audits to ensure deadlines are met for exam bookings.
  • Support and implement the Maths and English strategy, enhancing learners' prospects of success.
  • Contribute to selfassessment and quality improvement plans for Maths and English.
  • Ensure alignment with external stakeholder requirements and facilitate preparation for Lead partner reviews and inspections, ensuring readiness across regions concerning functional skills and GCSE.

Desirable/Essential Criteria:


  • Functional Skills/Maths & English background and experience
  • A recognized secondary or post16 teaching qualification, e.g., PGCE, DTTLS, or A1 Award
  • Experience within adult education
  • Driving License and access to vehicle

Salary:
Up to £38,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
