EY185 Junior Shipping Clerk (Logistics Department)

Monday to Friday 8:30 - 5:00pm

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Junior Shipping Clerk on behalf of one of our clients.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Resolve invoice queries.
  • Monitor and control equipment to ensure sufficient stock available for export.
  • Monitor and control equipment and means of transportation necessary for efficient movement of cargo between shipside and customer's premises.
  • Ensure efficient, accurate and timely production of export matters.
  • Check and approve all haulier and feeder operator invoices.
  • Complete weekly, monthly statistics reports for head office.
  • Handle additional haulage charges and disputes.
  • Despatch haulage order.
  • Maintain system cost data.

Skills and Qualifications:


  • Must have the legal right to work in the UK, without sponsorship.
  • We are looking for someone who is comfortable on the phone, customer focused with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience in Logistics is not required; on the job training will be given.
  • Good IT, organization and communication skills
  • Experience in shipping/logistics or customer service within office environment will be an advantage.
  • To be honest, responsible and punctual, to be able to work on your own initiative as well as to be a great team worker.
