Working in the Medway area, this leading charity seeks an IAG-qualified
Careers Adviser to support its service delivery.


As a
Careers Advisor, you will deliver careers information, advice and guidance (IAG) services to adults on various opportunities, such as learning, career paths and employment.

Mainly, your role will be in the community, but you may occasionally support the service provided in local prisons.

This position is a permanent, full-time or part-time post (minimum 22.2 hours per week)


Qualifications and Experience

  • IAG qualification at Level 4 or above
  • Maths and English GCSE grade C or above (or equivalent)
  • A commitment to undertake all necessary training for the role
  • Experience in managing a caseload of adults/ young people from diverse backgrounds
  • Awareness of the social and economic issues affecting people

Main Responsibilities:


  • Deliver clear and unbiased information, advice and guidance (IAG).
  • You will work across the National Careers Service delivery area, in job centres, libraries, colleges and community settings, with groups or individuals.
  • Some client contact will be via phone or video call. unbiased
  • To provide IAG on all matters relating to learning and work, including employment, education and training
  • Achieve a range of set quantitative and qualitative targets using a caseload management approach and effectively utilising the CRM
  • Identify and engage with priority customer groups to identify barriers to their progression
  • Support customers to produce a personal action plan
