Department/Role overview:


Hours of work:


37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, working 8.5 hours a day including an hour for lunch, between the hours of 07:00 -17:30.

Shift times may vary depending on the team rota. However, you will be required to work such hours as are necessary to carry out your duties. This role is office based but remote working is utilised regularly.


Main responsibilities:

We currently have a position available for a Data Access Control Officer.

Your responsibilities will include implementing, maintaining and updating the firms Information Barriers and Insider Lists systems to ensure that we, as a firm and as a department, remain compliant with firm policy and regulatory requirements globally.

You will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place and will be providing high level technical system guidance on how to achieve these safeguards and implement them on tight deadlines.

A global team will support BAU activities in this role between Glasgow and Brisbane.


Your main duties will include:

  • Providing assistance when needed to various stakeholders and risk & compliance team members within their respective teams on complex system and procedural matters related to the establishment of new business requests, as well as information barriers and Data Loss Prevention queries.
  • Contributing to testing and improving incident management procedures.
  • Conducting routine audits of Risk and Compliance systems to ensure appropriate security policies have been applied in line with client terms.
  • Documenting incidents and generate reports for team members and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting various stakeholders and the wider Risk & Compliance team with ad hoc queries and reporting.
  • Identification and reduction of inefficiencies in internal processes and transforming them into opportunities to remove waste and increase automation.
  • General compliance administration and workflow coordination.

Risk and Control:
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with our regulatory requires and internal policies.


Essential skills and experience:


  • A proven track record with a minimum of 1 year within a Compliance, IT, Data or Incident Management role (or equivalent)
  • Degree qualified within a relevant field or equivalent experience within a similar role
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problemsolving. You will be selfdriven and have the ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Professional and discreet as confidential and sensitive information will be handled. Previous experience from within roles handling sensitive and confidential information
  • A quick learner and conversant with technology/software
  • Personable comfortable communicating with stakeholders at all levels across the global firm. You will have exceptional communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous experience working in an office environment

Desired skills and experience:


  • Previous experience working with Intapp Products or Document Management security controls
  • Previous experience working within a Law firm environment
  • Experienced in developing data access control policies and procedures
