Description

The Legal Operations & Project Management team works with both the lawyers and core business services functions to help the business manage legal matters (projects) more effectively (from pricing and scoping through to evaluation).

The role is also focusedon identifying and delivering necessary changes to working practices and utilising technology to improve efficiency and effectiveness.


The team are increasingly utilising data to understand potential differences and inefficiencies in our ways of working to develop tangible metric-based solutions to support strategic projects for the firm and clients.

About the Role


One of the exciting opportunities of this role is the breadth of exposure you will gain from working with a diverse team.

Being responsible for implementing project management, process improvement and change management disciplines across the different practicegroups, the team aims to use data in meaningful ways to support the consultative model we deploy.


Typical responsibilities will include:

Operations Data Management:
_

  • Interact with business stakeholders and Legal Ops Leads to understand business issues and problems for continuous improvement
  • Project management experience: ability to understand how to scope and deliver against a specific brief
  • Implement effective governance, and processes to support projects and data outputs
  • Gather data from primary and secondary sources in a structured and cohesive way
  • Produce actionable business insights from detailed data analysis and modelling
  • Interpret trends form different data sets to support the development of solutions for key projects
  • Strategic analysis to support financial and progress reporting for teams and projects
  • Capture and document As-Is and To-Be processes to support workflow analysis and utilise data to support required changes.
  • Communicate effectively with different stakeholders
  • Support to generate LPM tools and resources for specific work types
  • Support on process improvement/operational efficiency projects
  • Experience with service/ product modelling, process, and system changes
  • Support to implement and embed changes to ways of working and processes
  • Team and Client_
  • Promote and encourage engagement with the LOPM team and our proposition
  • Providing consultancy support and recommendations on possible delivery/implementation solutions for internal and external clients
  • Support on client projects as required
  • Proactively contribute to team initiatives that build our profile, client engagements and support our mandate
  • Advise best practice and provide technical training and support to team members

About You

  • Strong ability to build credible relationships at all levels of seniority
  • Highly analytical and solution orientated
  • Strong ability to translate objectives into tangible outputs to meet specific needs
  • Ability to manage different stakeholder types confidently and diplomatically
  • Ability to confidently sell value, benefits, and results to improve buyin/engagement
  • Extensive project management experience and a proven understanding for behavioural considerations involved
  • Strong facilitation skills and a confident presenter
  • Ability to confidently advise, consult and influence in all situations
  • Comfortable with 'unknowns' and assertive when necessary
  • Able to prioritise quickly, often in busy periods, in a calm manner
  • Invested team player and confident to collaborate
  • Strong ability to multitask and maintain excellent attention to detail
  • Flexible in traveling across the UK and to Europe periodically
  • Education/Qualification _
  • Degree (or equivalent)
  • Office Skills _
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of data manipulation and visualisation tools including Excel and PowerB
  • Advanced knowledge of process mapping including tools such as Visio
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills
  • Commercial Skills_
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Financial awareness
  • Market and client insights in the LPM and Ops space is a plus
