Summary


An exciting opportunity to undertake a career in bookkeeping, with supported study with AAT whilst working in a fast paced team environment.

The role involves accurately processing accounting data to strict deadlines and working within a team in the production of management accounts.

The department deliver highs quality management accounts, primarily for the hospitality sector, but also for companies
. The workload is performed to the highest standards and to strict deadlines using a bespoke Microsoft Navision platform.


Main responsibilities and duties

  • Process accounting transactions from straightforward to more complex
  • Completing and posting bank reconciliations
  • Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and trial balances
  • Daily income imports and reconciliations
  • Posting journals
  • Assisting with VAT Return preparation
  • Ensure the timely receipt and processing of all data in accordance with set deadlines
  • Assisting with ad hoc assignments and ad hoc reporting as and when required
  • Housekeeping and procedural documentation
  • Maintaining or improving any known processes
  • Providing support and cover for other team members as required
  • Assist in other technical and administrative areas within the Company as may reasonably be requested

Experience and or qualifications

  • Experience within a similar bookkeeping role in a professional services environment
  • Strong accounting systems preferably with Microsoft Navision and MS Office skills
  • Excellent communicator with a polite and professional manner when dealing with clients and suppliers
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines, producing high standards of work
  • Ability to organise and prioritise workload effectively
  • Parttime working would be considered if spread over days.
