Learning support assistant (SEND)

Location: Stourbridge
Duration: Fulltime and parttime posts available ASAP
Salary: £70£90 per day

About the School and Role:

A school located in Stourbridge are currently recruiting a new full time Special educational needs teaching assistant to work with KS1-KS2 children.

You will be working with children that possess a wide range of needs including, SLD, ASD, ADHD, and Complex Needs.

Therefore, experience working with these needs is vital so that the children's needs are recognised and catered for. Any additional qualifications, such as, PECS, Team teach, or Makaton would be useful but not necessary. You may be required to fill out daily EHCP plans for 1-1 students.

This is a full-time on-going position with the hope that this teaching assistant stays on in the school in a permanent position.

An up-to-date enhanced child and adult DBS will be needed for this role or a subscription to the DBS update service.

This can be done for you if you do not have a current one.

Requirements:

Qualified Teaching Assistant OR Relevant SEN Background
SEND schoolbased Experience
ASD, SLD, PMLD, SPLD, Down Syndrome experience
Child and Adult Workforce DBS
Available Immediately
Level 1 safeguarding certificate
Recent schoolbased references

Valid Photo ID

Driving Licence or passport
Full DBS registered on the update service
