Swansea Bay UHB Speech and Language Therapy present an exciting opportunity to join our welcoming and forward-thinking adult team to deliver Speech and Language Therapy provision to the acute neuro-medical service.


We are looking to recruit a hard-working, ambitious and dynamic Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist, ideally with experience of working in the acute setting or with demonstrable transferrable skills.


The post holder will be an autonomous clinician with excellent prioritisation skills; able to manage a specialist clinical caseload of patients on a daily basis.

They will be responsible for the delivery of assessment and treatments for this acute caseload; providing specialised therapy advice to members of the MDT.


They will deliver a specialist service with a keen focus on admission avoidance, patient flow, differential diagnosis and providing exceptional patient assessment and care.

This includes multi-disciplinary working from the point of admission through to comprehensive assessment and management and discharge planning with Speciality Consultants and community partners.
