**2nd Line IT Support Specialist
Wellingborough
Permanent
Full-time (office-based Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week)

Up to £27,000 DOE**We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Support Specialist to join an established company based in Wellingborough.

Our client is looking for an experienced IT professional with industry experience, a good technical background and a passion for technology.


Key duties and responsibilities of the IT Support Specialist:

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support for IT users, infrastructure, and services.
  • Support the IT Director in ensuring ongoing improvement, and implementation of new services.
  • Monitor systems and services to ensure proper function, and ensure legal compliance for all systems, maximising effectiveness where possible.
  • Respond promptly to support incidents and other requests, escalating as necessary.
  • Update relevant IT records, logs, and adhere to internal processes and procedures.
  • Ensure internal systems and databases are maintained and up to date.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings and carry out any other requests as reasonably required.

Key experience and skills required for the IT Support Specialist:

  • Previous experience in IT Support, with strong working knowledge of MS Windows and Server based systems.
  • Indepth knowledge of firewall & network switch administration, ERP/CRM and IP telephony systems.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and work independently on various projects/tasks at a time.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Desirable but not essential: experience with MS Dynamics NAV, SugarCRM, Linux, or experience setting up/supporting Audio Visual equipment.
  • Good analytical and problemsolving skills.
