The role is being offered on a job share basis for two days a week (0.4FTE, 14 hours per week) on a Monday and Thursday.
Are you an experienced HR professional with experience of policy development? Are you looking for a new challenge or the next step in your career?


The HR Project and Policy Lead will work collaboratively with HR Team colleagues and a range of stakeholders to lead and deliver a range of projects and initiatives to support the delivery of the College's Vision and the management of the College's workforce.


The role will be responsible for the development of new people management policies and the revision of existing policies, including consultation with key stakeholders.

This is a wide-ranging role and there are two post holders who will work together to deliver across a range of priorities.


You will play a key role to support the College to manage and deliver its equality commitments, such as in relation to Athena SWAN, Race Equality and Disability Confident.

You will work collaboratively to deliver projects to support staff wellbeing. You will lead on the review and development of performance management policies and reward.


You will also work with colleagues from across the College to deliver work to support the College's Education and Research Strategies, such as the HR Excellence in Research Award.


With a proactive and flexible approach to work, you will have a sound knowledge of both UK employment law and equalities legislation, and an understanding of the equality and diversity agenda in the HE sector.

Experience of policy development is essential, including managing consultation with stakeholders and trade unions.


You will be self-motivated and able to work independently, with the ability to manage the output of colleagues through project teams.

You will have excellent organisational and project management skills, with experience of managing cross department projects with multiple stakeholders.


Remuneration:

Grade 8 of the College's London Pay Scale which is £48,376 rising to £56,881 per annum


The salary quoted will be pro rata and is on the College's London Pay Scale which includes a consolidated Weighting/Allowance which applies only to staff whose normal contractual place of work is in the London area.
