Description
A fantastic opportunity for a Document Controller to join an ambitious, fast paced IT company based in Aberdeen City Centre.
The main purpose of this role is to process Technical & company management system documents, address ad-hoc requests efficiently and effectively in order to deliver service within agreed timescales and quality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Update Electronic Document Management System to ensure documentation adheres to work instructions
- Manage hard copy documentation on both onsite and offsite archive locations, in accordance with Document Schedules to preserve evidential information that can be sourced when required
- Capture and share high value, final version documentation in EDMS to preserve corporate memory and improve search and future retrieval
- Distribution of safety critical documentation to ensure complete, accurate and quality information is available at all locations and in emergency situations
- Seek continuous improvements in process to improve efficiency in technical and company management system documentation
- Track and manage information to establish accountability and trace ability
- Deliver front line support for information queries to facilitate business requirements
- Audit controlled documents to ensure integrity and confidence in the documentation help
- Ensure Information flow is effective between end user and management system
REQUIREMENTS:
- Competent to work with word, excel & pdf
- Knowledge of EDRMS
- Attention to details in Technical & Company
- Management System documentation
- Ability to communicate in writing and orally
- Good team working skills
- Ability to adapt to new systems
- Awareness of the different types of technical documents such as P&ID and their purpose
