This is an exciting opportunity to join the HPB team as a waiting list Co-Ordinator based at Queens Medical Centre.

The post holder will manage the inpatient waiting list for a delegated number of consultants. You will co-ordinate admissions, and associated pre-operative assessment appointments and theatre lists.

The post holder will also play a key central role within the services and is required to work in close liaison with NHS colleagues, patients and the general public.

You will be a conscientious and enthusiastic team player, with excellent organisational and communication skills. You will have a good understanding of the 18 week RTT pathway and Patient Access Policy.

You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of patient confidentiality, and be able to remain calm under pressure.

You will be joining a team of established Waiting list Co-Ordinator's based at Queens Medical Centre in the HPB department.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities


The post holder will manage the inpatient and day case waiting lists for a delegated number of consultants at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, in accordance with Government Access Targets and Trust's Access Policy.

Also ensuring that there is an efficient and effective use of
available resources at all times.

They will co-ordinate admissions, and associated pre-operative assessment clinics and theatre lists.

The post holder will also play a key central role within the services and is required to work in close liaison with NHS colleagues, patients and the general public.

Essential criteria

  • Educated to GCSE standard with passes at grade C or above including English
Communication and Relastionship skills

  • Previous office experience
  • Previous experience in similar NHS role
  • Experience in Microsoft Software
  • Excel / Outlook / Word

  • Experience with the NUH Hospital Systems
  • Knowledge of 18 week and Cancer targets / Medical Terminology

Salary:
The quoted salary will be on a pro rata basis for part time workers.
