This is a unique opportunity to support nursing students academically and pastorally on programmes at Manchester Met.

You will work within the Nursing Support team to provide comprehensive support to students through their journey on the programme; from admissions to graduation.


The post holder will work closely with Personal Tutors and Programme Leads to enhance the student experience, boost retention and progression and create and ameliorate learning resources.


You will work collaboratively with Manchester Met's central support services to coordinate and deliver bespoke and differentiated support for nursing students You will develop teaching and learning resources to enhance the study skills of students.


  • Have experience of supporting students in higher education
  • Have a good understanding of university systems and processes within the academic cycle
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work across multiple programmes to ensure a wide range of appropriate high quality learning experiences for students
  • Have demonstrable experience of maintaining good working networks and relationships within a large and complex organisation
  • Have an ability to flexibly adapt to the Department's current needs and proactively prioritise workload
  • Have some understanding of Nursing and/or healthcare education(desirable, but not essential).
