Grade UE06:
£31,396 - £36,024 Per Annum, Pro Rata (Note - a revised salary banding of £32,982 - £38,205 will take effect from 1st April 2024).


ISG / IT Infrastructure / Research Services.

Open Ended Contract - Permanent.

Part Time Hours Per Week.


The Events and Outreach Coordinator will report to the Lead Research Facilitator and have a working pattern of 17.5hrs per week with one day per week worked on campus in Edinburgh.

The team are committed to flexible working and happy consider a range of working patterns including compressed hours and staggered start and finish times.


This exciting role offers a salary of £31,396 - £36,024, however a revised salary banding of £32,982 - £38,205 will take effect from 1 st April 2024.

What the job involves:


  • Events management, including setting up and gather registrations, room bookings, catering arrangements and promotion.
  • Digital content management across different platforms (Website, SharePoint, LinkedIn, X) to broaden online and inperson outreach activities and events.
  • Administration of a variety of initiatives and activities, such as Carpentries courses, roadshows, internships, and welcome week activities.

A bit about you:


  • Understanding of the Higher Education Institution environment.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrable experience of organising events.
  • Ability to quickly master new systems and processes.
  • A competent user of MS Office 365. as well as Website Content and Social Media Management Systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A strong degree of attention to detail and accuracy in your work.
