The role


Are you passionate about ensuring safe and well-lit streets for your community? We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to fill the role of Streetlighting Operatives across our North West Contracts.

In this position, you will work closely with our maintenance teams to uphold the highest standards of street lighting, signage, and associated electrical works.


Key Responsibilities:


As a Streetlighting Operative, you will:

  • Perform thorough testing and inspection of new installations.
  • Expertly install various electrical equipment.
  • Skilfully terminate and joint cables to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Conduct routine general electrical maintenance tasks.
  • Diagnose faults on equipment and efficiently replace faulty components.
  • Utilise your expertise to locate faults on underground cables.
  • Conduct comprehensive visual inspections, including optical, structural, and electrical assessments.
  • Undertake any other duties necessary to ensure successful project delivery.

Desired Skills and Qualifications:


To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A thorough understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
  • A valid driving license.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent collaborative skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Proactive nature with a willingness to take initiative.

Requirements:


  • G39 certification
  • NRSWA certification
  • MEWP certification
  • ECS Test
  • First Aid (Appointed Person)
  • Electrical Competence
  • Experience in street lighting installations.
