The divisional technical operations team work closely with our mill and cluster teams to improve our performance across the mills in terms of manufacturing processes and efficiency, technical uptime and maintenance, product quality and establish lean workingprinciples.
Locations:
This role will be fully remote in the UK with travel.
About the programme
For the Paper discipline the focus will be in two key areas:
- Asset Management
- Digital
- Manufacturing
- Process
Asset Management
- Digital
As part of the Asset Management team, you will gain a deeper knowledge of the Asset Management strategy within DS Smith.
Working in a cross-functional collaboration with Engineering and IT professionals across the Division to ensure successful delivery ofthe digital Asset Management roadmap.
Experience end to end project implementation within the manufacturing industry with multiple stakeholders. Implementing digital products / tolls / services, supporting product and data standardisation and deploying best practice.Manufacturing

In turn you will support the development of detailed value streaming mapping from the preparation phase until the product is delivered to the supply chain, and create knowledge base by taking into account BATs in order to allow quick access to all of themanufacturing teams: DSS Paperpedia and the mills.
You will also assist with resolving long standing issues and on strategic trials for designated mills in order to help to develop further recommendations for the rest of the sites.

About you:
To be considered for this scheme you must have as a minimum:
- A degree in: Mechanical Engineering, Data Engineering or Paper Making
- Be able to speak fluent English. Ability to speak other languages will be advantageous.
- Be fully flexible and geographically mobile.
