To lead the function that defines, develops, and maintains standards for Programme Management of Onshore Construction projects, including critical aspects such as programme planning & scheduling, financial forecasting and estimating, quality processes, documentation management and programme reporting.

The PMO team will be the source of documentation, governance, guidance, monitoring, training, and metrics on the practice of programme management and execution, servicing the Project Delivery team.

What you'll be doing


We will look for you to Lead and Manage the Project Management Office team, including development of structure and team resources and competence to support delivery of SPR Onshore Renewables Projects while also ensuring the objectives of the Project Management Office team are aligned with those of SPR and that the team are driven to meet the strategic targets.


You will help to establish and implement planning function, to develop and maintain plans for all onshore projects from project development to O&M handover phase, Scope, plan and support execution and tracking of project plans utilising SPR Project Management methodologies, tools and resources.

Promoting and implementing new tools/systems to improve the standardisation of SPR project management.

Delivery of value engineering function to identify and deliver project management improvement and change initiatives to develop and ensure sustainable implementation of efficiency initiatives across project development and construction stages, and support successful handover to O&M and Resource planning for project construction and construction resources to support Project Development and manage recruitment and onboarding of permanent and temporary staff to enable construction resource optimising throughout project phases

Develop and implement pre-FID commercial/technical strategy to ensure pre-construction activities are planned/executed in a timely manner to ensure delivery of project programmes in line with business targets


_What you'll bring_


We will look for you to hold a relevant degree qualification (preferably engineering with significant construction management experience, in particular windfarm construction (other renewable energy technology would be advantageous but not essential).

You will have experience of negotiating and managing detailed commercial construction contracts. And possess a quality driven approach to identify, develop and implement sustainable procedures across Projects and construction

You will have the ability to influence at senior levels in both internal and external environments, be a proactive people manager, leader and motivator and have excellent relationship management skills and confident working with Project Directors /Teams and Senior Management
