Lyndon House -Children's Respite

Support Worker - Band 3

Full and part time. permanent positions available

Lyndon House offers overnight respite care to children from their families; it is situated in the Olton area of Solihull.

The service is for families with children who have a learning disability and complex health needs; this could be physical health or complex behaviour.

The service delivers care 24 hours a day, so flexibility around hours is essential.

We are looking for enthusiastic and motivated support staff who have a sense of fun and most importantly enjoy being around children.

Our aim is to provide a home from home service and we do this by utilising the skills of support workers whose job is multi-role.

So, you could be coordinating or be involved in an activity for / with the children, assisting with:
personal care, dressing, shopping, meal prep, cooking, feeding, cooking and cleaning. We also do social outings to local venues.

We are a child centred service and we manage this by each child having an allocated Named Nurse and keyworker.

Support workers act as Keyworkers for specific children and are expected to be involved in:
home / school visits, meetings.

From these meetings you will support in the development of the package of care for the allocated child, which will be regularly reviewed.

The job role is diverse so requires energy and motivation; no two days are ever the same but is a very rewarding role.

If this sounds exciting and the job for you, please apply. The Team has won awards and is supportive.
