We are seeking to employ a part time administrator for our small friendly team of Specialist Nurses, looking after patients with Parkinson's Disease and Multiple Sclerosis in the Community.


You will be working with a small team of administrative staff and will be helping us administer our clinics and visits.

You will be dealing with telephone queries, sending appointment letters and clinic letters and ensuring patients have access to the clinical advice they need in a timely way

You will be managing our e-roster and Agresso supplies ordering systems on behalf of the team


You are often the first person a patient or other professional will encounter and so a kind, undertstanding and professional attitude is essential.

Ongoing training will be provided on all our clinical and non-clinical systems

  • Input data into the SystmOne - accurately and efficiently entering information from GPs, consultants and health care professionals as well as inputting patient information.
  • Produce GP and patient letters from SystmOne.
  • Organise and administer nurse clinics.
  • Organise and administer patient appointments.
  • Open and distribute incoming post and prepare outgoing post for dispatch.
  • To receive telephone calls, take and deliver messages in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Photocopying, scanning, filing and retrieving medical notes and documentation as required.
  • Copy or audio typing letters, confidential reports and charts as requested by team members.
  • Support in co-ordinating meetings including taking and transcribing formal minutes as required.
  • Receive and relay messages accurately and promptly.
  • Deal with day-to-day queries and signpost as appropriate.
  • Support in monitoring and ordering of stationery and office equipment.
  • Help keep internet, intranet and patient information leaflets up to date.
  • Carry out any other duties in keeping with the grade of this post as requested by the Nurse Specialists to aid effective running of the services and achieve the aims and objectives of the Directorate.
  • The role includes working with a VDU for most of the working day and involves periods of prolonged concentration and travelling to work from other bases as required.
  • Assisting with completion of paperwork for patient investigations.
  • Completing and finalising E-rostering
