If you have a passion for health care, interacting with people and want to make a difference to the Gwent community with an employer which strives to put people first this is the opportunity for you.


The job description attached will give you an overview of the tasks you will be trained to undertake by the end of the Apprenticeship.

You will receive a comprehensive induction, formal training and you will be provided with the support and guidance that you need to achieve success

You will need to be dedicated to completing the qualification and have an interest in the Health Service.


As an apprentice finance assistant you will:

  • Earn a salary while studying
  • Gain job specific skills, knowledge and behaviours
  • Have regular pastoral support and personal development reviews
  • Gain knowledge of finance processes in the Health Board
  • Provide finance support across varying teams and services
  • Receive training and gain knowledge on NHS electronic systems
  • Gain experience within the NHS and understand the structure and different services delivered to our local community.


You will be helping to provide a first class service to members of the public, patients and colleagues across the Health Board.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply
