Description

Duties at the RNOH include outpatient clinic work, theatre, in-patient care, teaching of under-graduates and organisation and planning of lists and registrar timetables.

The position provides training in elective paediatric orthopaedics including large numbers of patients with neuromuscular problems, Perthes, SUFE, DDH and Club Foot.

There is a bi-monthly all day audit meeting. The Orthopaedic core curriculum for SpR training is available for the Fellow should they wish to attend.

In addition, there are teaching sessions on Friday mornings. The Unit has a monthly journal club. The post is non-residential although accommodation is available by contacting the accommodation unit at RNOHT.

The Fellow has 2-3 fixed clinical commitments per week and the rest are more flexible and can be selected to maximise the training opportunities appropriate to any subspecialty interests or acknowledged deficiencies.
