Description

What youll do You will be responsible for effectively and efficiently managing the use of beds within the Acute Medical Unit (AMU) and Medical Wards.

You will be able to manage your own workload to achieve efficient flow from the emergency department (ED), working to help drive the national performance targets for emergency care and simultaneously keeping flow from the GP admitting area to the acute medical unit.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that patients move from AMU across the hospital to the speciality area that they require within the medicine wards.

Effective communication skills are essential, as you will be liaising with multiple members of the multi-disciplinary teams.


What were looking for You will be enthusiastic, a real team player and have the ability to keep calm when working in a high pressured environment.

You must be an excellent communicator, kind, caring and compassionate. You will be confident in dealing with all levels of staff to achieve the best outcomes for our patients. You will be able to problem solve quickly and efficiently, whilst being calm and effective.
