Oadby & Wigston Borough Council are looking to recruit a full-time Ratings and Recovery Officer to join our Revenues and Benefits team on a permanent basis.

The role will be a split of home working, office based and visiting in the community.


You will be part of a team in the Revenues and Benefits department with a focus on the accurate billing, administration and collection of Business Rates and Council Tax.

Proven experience of working in a Revenues and Benefits environment is essential.

Excellent communication skills will be vital to enable you to gather the information needed to accurately bill local businesses and residents.


  • Experience using negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate positively and effectively.
  • Excellent written skills, effective organisation skills and good attention to detail.
  • Confident in the use of IT.
  • Wellorganised, enthusiastic, selfreliant and able to work on own initiative to meet deadlines.
  • A flexible approach to work in order to further develop skills.

£26,421.00-£28,770.00 per year
