About the Company

The business is a long established Freight Forwarding provider in the UK who have constantly been growing over the last few years.

They are looking for a Customs Broker with Export experience to join their Sunbury offices.

Customs Broker (Export) - Requirements

At least 1 years' experience as a Customs Broker focused on Export
Knowledge of customs legislation
Knowledge of air, road and sea transport documentation
Experience in using specialised customs software
Experience in preparing paperwork for export including certificates of origin and cargo control
Excellent IT skills
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal

Customs Broker (Export) - Responsibilities

To work with the customer to provide the best service available within the time constraints provided
Provide quotations to customers including duty and tax payments due
Enter details onto customs software and generate required paperwork
Liaising with various agency officials to ensure goods are cleared through customs
Liaising with freight forwarders
Understand the correct licence to be applied dependant on type of goods
To work within the company KPIs
To create a relationship with Customers and Suppliers
To be commercially aware of the cost of the service and ensure profit margins are met
To understand billing and costing procedures and answer invoice queries
To operate within the company credit policy at all times
General administration duties
Other duties that may be deemed the responsibility of the job
