Teaching Assistant Level - SEN Teaching Assistant position at a primary school in Droylsden. The position is available from March 2024 but the deadline for this role is January 29th.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

  • Preparing the physical environment of the classroom for lessons.
  • Ensuring teaching materials are ready for use.
  • Assisting Teachers in preparing materials required for lesson plans.
  • Listening to children read aloud and teaching reading techniques.
  • Reading aloud to children.
  • Assisting children with learning difficulties in completing tasks.
  • Taking notes for children struggling to keep up with the class pace.
  • Assisting in creating displays and putting them up around the classroom.
  • Leading group activities and ensuring the involvement of all pupils.
  • Managing children with problems or those who have had accidents.
  • Providing general encouragement for all children in the class.
