As the
HSQE Advisor you will be engaged in innovation activities with a leading company within the utility industry, you will help deliver our current project to ensure we meet compliance.
Job Requirements:
- To provide advice and communicate Health, Safety, Environment and Quality policies, procedures and standards ensuring that all legislation, directives, procedures, and specifications are being met
- Champion the health and safety function, and safe working practices across the company
- Ensure that all personnel are aware of their statutory duties and responsibilities, and to provide advice as and when required.
- Review, support and prepare required Risk assessment and methods statements
- Support HSQE Manager with designated requirements
- Support project function with reviews, RAMS and advise on Construction, design, and process management
- Carry out regular inspections of sites and workplaces to determine whether work is being carried out in accordance with Company Policy, Procedures, and the relevant Statutory Provisions.
- Carry out accident/incident investigations in accordance with the Company Accident/Incident Reporting Procedure and analysing all data, making recommendations to avoid any recurrences
- Maintain records as necessary to ensure compliance with Statutory Legislation and Contract Requirements.
- Carry out site inductions and other training as required.
- Participate in HSQE meetings and provide updates
- Assist in the preparation & review of project SHEQ documents
- Promote the health and safety ethos and culture at all levels within the Company
Key Responsibilities
- Understand, assist, and review the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and quality Policies and Procedures and statutory requirements
- Support the business' function with HSQE review, creation and management of documentation
- Provide advice and support to project delivery team on the implementation of the company's HSQE policies and procedures.
- Provide advice and support on the prevention of accidents, incidents and ill health.
- Undertake and provide advice in key tasks to assist in the development, management, implementation and monitoring of the HSQE Management system
- Ensure HSQE Inspections and Audits are carried out on operational sites to meet KPI requirements
- Support HSQE Manager with supplier assessment, tenders, and pre‐qualification information.
- Assist in the preparation, implementation, and delivery of HSE training and briefings as required
Qualifications and Experience
Essential
- NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate
- At least 2 years' experience within a HSQE focused role within utilities or construction
- Effective communication skills and ability to influence others
- Full Driving License
- Excellent organisations, communication, and time management skills
- A passion of Safety, Health and Environment
- Strong IT skills in Microsoft Office suite
- Professional membership body status
- CSR card
- NEBOSH Diploma or NCRQ Level
- IEMA or NEBOSH Environmental Qualifications
