A bit about Timetabling & Examinations

Timetabling & Examinations sits within Student Administration and is part of the wider Directorate of Student Success, Administration and Support Services (DSSASS), which aims to provide agile and adaptive services to support enhancement of student experience and performance throughout the student journey and staff experience across the academic cycle.

The Timetabling & Examinations team is a busy team whose core focus and responsibility is the management and delivery of the academic timetable and the arrangement and co-ordination of examinations for the University.

We also support key strategic projects to enhance the student experience working collaboratively with Schools, Estates and Digital IT.

So, what will the role involve?

We're looking for a Timetabling Officer to join our team as exams lead to coordinate the logístical aspects of written exam delivery.

Part of the role will also support teaching timetable construction as we commence the cycle to construct the academic timetable with a focus on developing a process that combines both teaching and exam scheduling.

They'll be working in partnership with team colleagues and in collaboration with School Exam teams and Timetable Leads to assess requirements for programme areas and identify solutions to effectively schedule activity to produce a high-quality timetable, meeting approved timetabling principles and customer expectations.

They'll have responsibility for all exam aspects and some defined areas of the academic timetable, take a lead role in process improvement activity and support key project work.

We're looking for team players who are experienced in balancing a number of different priorities, has a keen eye for detail, who are able to establish effective relationships and manage the needs of different stakeholders.

They'll have an analytical approach and a strong desire and commitment to continually improve service delivery.

If you thrive in a busy environment, embrace change and like a challenge, then we'd like to hear from you.
