The Resource Planner is a critical position at AEC, ensuring the effective scheduling and coordination of site work, allocated to correctly skilled staff and within set KPIs.


Liaising with our fantastic site team on a daily basis, and servicing a wide variety of clients, no two days are the same.

Responsibilities

  • Booking of chargeable work to assigned members of the site team.
  • Set up of projects for the correct commercial outcome.
  • Working with defined contracts and KPI's, this role will coordinate and deliver the project to the satisfaction of the customer and to meet the
minimum daily return for chargeable staff and for the profitability and efficiency of the business.

  • Remaining commercially focused, especially when considering the distance between sites and travel time.
  • Problemsolving moving workload around at short notice and prioritising tasks.
  • Use of a bespoke system to resource projects
  • Build strong relationships with all site staff using effective communication
  • Complete project control documents to allow accurate updates to internal departments within AEC.

Skill Set

  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to build rapport with clients on the phone
  • Must be proficient with MS Excel
  • Great organisation skills you must be able to manage your own workload and multitask
  • A methodical worker with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to remain cool under pressure and to prioritise effectively
  • Sound geographical knowledge needed to pair up the site team projects
  • Experience within a similar position required
